Plurilingualism in a Constructively Aligned and Decolonized TESOL Curriculum

While learning and teaching English as an additional language are lifelong processes for both learners teachers, these two sectors largely dominated by West-centric linguistic cultural imperialism, epistemic hegemony, racism, neoliberalism, which tied to colonialism imperialism. In light of this issue, I argue that it is necessary decolonize de-imperialize the speakers other languages (TESOL) teacher education curricula prepare future (EAL) teachers identify, challenge, resist hegemonic elements embedded in EAL worldwide. claim plurilingual pedagogical approaches can be identified critical pedagogies since they empower adult resisting imperialism through activation endorsement their repertoire, diverse knowledge systems, identities. Drawing on literature plurilingualism, decolonization production, curriculum design, article discusses how combined with transformative a TESOL purpose training globally. These suggestions relevant illustrate plurilingualism decolonizing theory put into practice.
 Alors que l’apprentissage et l’enseignement de l’anglais comme langue additionnelle sont des processus d’apprentissage qui durent toute une vie à la fois pour les apprenants enseignants, ces deux secteurs largement dominés par un impérialisme linguistique culturel occidento-centrique, hégémonie épistémique, le racisme néolibéralisme, liés au colonialisme l’impérialisme. À lumière ce problème, j’avance qu’il est nécessaire décoloniser désimpérialiser aux locuteurs d’autres langues (TESOL), programmes d’enseignement préparer futurs enseignants d’anglais (ALA) identifier, remettre en question résister éléments hégémoniques enchâssés dans d’ALA partout monde. Je soutiens approches pédagogiques plurilingues peuvent être identifiées pédagogies critiques puisqu’elles permettent l’impérialisme épistémique l’activation validation leur répertoire plurilingue, divers systèmes connaissance leurs identités.
